Kent Birth & Postnatal Doula providing services to support a calm pregnancy, empowered birth and nurtured postpartum
Hypnobirthing Teacher
Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner
Hi, I’m Atosa Stedman, a birth and postnatal doula, hypnobirthing antenatal teacher, and mindful breastfeeding practitioner. I live by the sea in Herne Bay with my husband, our three boys, and two cats. My journey into this work began after the birth of my first child in 2018, when I experienced firsthand the transformative power of antenatal education and the unwavering support of a doula. Since 2020, I’ve been dedicated to empowering birthing families, guiding them through the incredible journey of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
I believe birth is deeply personal, and with the right tools and support, it can be an empowering and positive experience. My own home birth experiences, including a free birth, have inspired my advocacy for birthing choices. However, I fully support all kinds of birth, whether at home, in a midwife-led unit, or in hospital. I am heart-led first and foremost, and in addition to making sure you feel surrounded by love, my approach combines evidence-based education with a nurturing, holistic philosophy, ensuring you feel calm, informed, and respected every step of the way.
Community is at the heart of my daily life. I facilitate a weekly mamas coffee morning in Herne Bay, where all are welcome to connect, share, and find support during pregnancy and early parenthood as well as a weekly Singing Mamas singing for wellbeing circle. Beyond birth, I offer feeding education and support as a certified Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner and work with The Mindful Breastfeeding School, helping train future lactation professionals. I also train and mentor new doulas as a Doula Guide with The Perinatal Academy.
